Who Is Adam Levine - 1403 Words

Adam Levine was born on March 18, 1979 in Los Angeles, California (Shlomo). Most people recognize Adam as the lead singer of Maroon 5, but this is not where he started. Three of the five boys that are a part of Maroon 5 today, including Adam, started playing together at the young age of 12. In his early years he was a part of a band called, â€Å"Kara’s Flowers† (Edwards). â€Å"Kara’s Flowers† formed in 1994; having little success they decided to go their separate ways and go to college for a short time. They regrouped in 2001 naming themselves â€Å"Maroon 5† (â€Å"Maroon 5’s Top 25 Career Moments: A Timeline,†). Adam was greatly influenced by his mom growing up. Also in May of 2013 Adam received the BMI president’s award (â€Å"Maroon 5’s Top 25 Career Moments: A Timeline.† ). The BMI President’s award is truly an honor. It is given to songwriters that have strongly influenced the music industry. As of February 10, 2017 Adam Levine received the 2,601st star in the recording category on The Hollywood Walk of Fame (â€Å"Adam Levine Will Get His Own Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame†). Adam and his many awards have had a major impact on the future of music. With Adam’s outgoing and understanding personality he has influenced many people over the years. On NBC’s The Voice, Adam has worked with many upcoming musicians. Jordan Smith, a former member of Adam’s team has nothing but good things to say about his generous dedicated coach. â€Å"I didn’t learn as much from what Adam said to me as I did from just watching him work and watching the way he does things on the show,† he explains. Adam always did what was necessary to ensure that his artist were successful.
